Our 2nd Children's Day at Telenesti Orphanage

The Telenesti Orphanage is made up of 2 "homes" with house parents and a total of 20 children. We delivered the goodies made by the Relief Society in Chisinau and the Young Single Adults in Chisinau. For Children's day we delivered the treats, shoes, clothing, and toys. It was a wonderful sunny day so we did everything outside in the shade of tree and on the porch.

These goodies were G-O-N-E in 5 minutes!!

I stopped along the highway and bought fresh cherry sticks for the kids

The children made up their own goodie bags

This little guy couldn't get enough cookies!

Our translator, Katea, brought her little Ana along. I'm glad!

We put the clothing and shoes under the tree. All the children found shoes and outfits that fit!

It was like a treasure hunt for them!

The little girls were the cutest as they looked for pink shoes!
She picked the purple suit
Sister Kristin Chevrier sent some great clothes from the US. Here are some pajama's that this girl really loves! Thanks Kristin!

More of the clothes from Sister Chevrier. Don't they look great on these girls?!!

The little girls picked out sweat suits and matching shoes.

Fits perfectly! This young man just got home from winning his TaeKwonDo contest.
The toys they chose Happy Factory in the US makes and donates these darling wooden cars. They were a big hit!

So proud of her new clothes!

This young man chose a kite and got right into flying it!

This little gal had fun with the McDonalds Happy Meal toy she chose

He wanted to play with the basket the toys had been in....

...but ended up falling asleep in it instead!

It was such a fun day for the children. Thanks to all who made it possible for these children to not be left out of the Children's Day celebrations.
